THE AASI
Auditors Association of Southern India
The AASI, was formed in
the 1940 as the First Registered Society
at Coimbatore. The AASI was founded by
the then practicing Auditors at Coimbatore.
The membership of the Association is confined
to the qualified Chartered Accountants
and as of now has about 260 members in
and around Coimbatore. AASI has successfully
been renedering service in the field of
Accountancy for the past 64 years. The
Association was privileged to have leading
stalwarts of the profession at the helm
of affairs and the First President was
Late C.P. Hariachar and the First Secretary
was Late. N.C. Rajan illustrious personalities
steering the Association in its march
to excellence.
Objectives
The Association
was founded with the main object of nurturing
the profession of Accountancy in all its
dimensions and applications. The Association
has conducted several technical conferences
and seminars to discuss the then current
topics and educate the Industry and business
about the changes taking place in the
fiscal and monetary policies of the State.
The Association was contributed to the
State with constructive representations
about the various fiscal legislation and
its impact in the industrial scenario.
Mission statement
AASI has a perpetual mission to sharpen
the skills of their Members to become
a pillars of strength to the Industry
and Commerce.
AASI has now decided to empower the
Accounting Community also, other than
qualified Chartered Accountants, to
enhance their adaptability to modern
challenges.
AASI will be a pro-active body to
enable and support the Industry and
Trade to be competitive with a cutting
– edge in the global arena.
